Responsibilities
As an IT Representative, you will:
- Provide technical support and assistance to the staff and users of TechNews, including troubleshooting, installing, configuring, and updating hardware, software, and network devices.
- Monitor and maintain the security, performance, and availability of the TechNews website and servers, and ensure regular backups and data recovery.
- Implement and enforce IT policies and procedures, such as password management, access control, and data protection.
- Research and recommend new IT solutions and technologies to enhance the efficiency and functionality of TechNews.
- Collaborate with the IT Director and other IT staff to plan and execute IT projects and initiatives.
Requirements
To be successful as an IT Representative, you should have:
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of proven experience in IT support, administration, or management, preferably in the technology or media industry.
- A solid knowledge of and experience with various IT systems, platforms, and tools, such as Windows, Linux, WordPress, AWS, Google Cloud, Office 365, etc.
- A strong understanding of IT security principles and best practices, such as encryption, firewall, antivirus, VPN, etc.
- A proficient and fluent command of the English language, with excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
- A reliable and self-motivated work ethic, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
